A sliding door is a movable structure that allows household occupants to easily access the interior of a home. These doors have rollers that slide on tracks to provide simplicity when opening the door. When your sliding door won’t work right, try lowering the door. Access the roller adjustment screws by removing the two plug coverings. These screws are located at the bottom of of the portion of the door frame that slides. Using a flat-head screwdriver to turn the screw to the left. To do this, insert the screwdriver and rotate it counterclockwise. This causes the rollers to be drawn back in, resulting in the door lowering.
If this fails to product a fruitful result, continue your sliding door repair by removing the head stop. Use two sawhorses and a pad or a table to hold any window door coverings. Lay them on this surface until you replace them later. Slide the glass door all the way open. Using a manual or electric drill, unscrew the fasteners holding the head stop in place.
Try opening and closing the door all the way. If it fails to do so, remove the door from the track. Do this by standing inside the house. Ensure that the door is partially open and firmly grasp both side. Lift up and towards you can you can lift the door off the bottom track.
