WinRAR tool is not only used to create RAR file but also used to repair corrupted RAR file or fix from them. Whenever WinRAR fails to extract data from RAR archive, it means the archive is invalid or corrupted. You can repair the corrupted RAR archive by using the built-in repair feature of WinRAR application. All the required steps are shown below:

Open your WinRAR application. Click on File tab and then click on Open archive. Or simply press Ctrl+O. A new small window “Find archive” will be appeared. Now locate your corrupt RAR file from the system directory and then click on Open. Click on Tools tab and then click on Repair archive. Or simply press Ctrl+R. Again a new small window “Repairing FileName.rar” will be appeared. Now Browse the location where you want to save the new repaired archive. The box “Treat the corrupt archive as RAR” is checked by default. But if it is not, then do check it. Click on OK. The repairing process of selected archive will be started. Once it is successfully completed click on Close.

Repair corrupt RAR file by using  software:

Step 4: Now select corrupt RAR file(s) from your system directory. Then click on Open.

Step 5: The selected RAR archive(s) will be shown on the edit box. Then click on Next.

Step 6: Now select either Standard Mode or Advanced Mode of RAR file recovery. Then click on Next.

Step 7: The scanning process of selected RAR archive(s) will be started.

Step 8: All the recovered files will be shown. You can check them. Then click on Next.

Step 9: Click on Browse to select the location where you want to save the recovered data.

Step 10: Now select any location from the list to save the recovered files. Then click on OK.

Step 11: The selected location will be shown on the edit box. Then click on Save.

Step 12: The saving process of recovered files will be started. Once it gets successfully completed click on OK.

Step 13: Now click on Close to close the software application.
